Carlos Durán For the last 30 years, Carlos Durán has worked with faith-based organizations and churches across the country, promoting development and equipping programs for the Hispanic and the faith community.
In 2011, he was recognized by The White House as a “Champion of Change” for his work on behalf of men and families in the country. In 2011, Carlos Durán founded Hombres de Palabra (Men of their Word); an organization dedicated to “equip men to reach their maximum potential through education and training.” Carlos Durán is currently the CEO of Hombres de Palabra/Men of Their Word, and President of The National Hispanic Pastors Alliance (NAHPA). He has participated and supported various organizations by being a part of their boards of directors, such as the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, Volunteers for America for the Chesapeake Area, and Young Life National Hispanic Initiative. He worked for Promise Keepers for over 12 years, reaching and serving Hispanic men and communities across the country. He served as the Executive Director for the Evangelical Association of Hispanic Ministers in the Washington metropolitan area, the chapter Director of Washington DC for the NHCLC, and has worked with many organizations as a consultant and program manager for projects concerning issues related to faith and the Hispanic community across the nation.
Carlos Durán was born in Colombia and immigrated to the USA at the age of 19. Carlos and his wife, Libia, live in Maryland with their five beautiful children. He is an ordained minister and has a degree in Business Administration and Project Management from Liberty University.
