Brent has led men’s groups, including sexual addiction recovery, in the Washington, DC, area for five years. He retired as a Captain from the US Navy in October 2017 after a distinguished 27 year career. During his time in service he had the privilege of being assigned to a variety of influential assignments, including commanding officer of a tactical carrier aviation squadron, a Congressional Fellow for a US Senator, a Department of Defense liaison officer at the National Counterterrorism Center, and Director of the Navy and Coast Guard wounded warrior program.
Christian along with his wife Susan is a full time staff members with CRU – City, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, International (CCC) which began in 1952 with a commitment to helping fulfill the Great Commission, initially by reaching out to college students. Beginning in the 1960’s CCC expanded their outreach to include the executive, professional and leadership communities. They have served with CRU for over 44 years.
In addition to providing local leadership for CRU – City in the MD/Washington, D.C. area, the Nagels have a burden for CRU staff and the body of Christ in the areas of purity, integrity & intimacy with God. Since 2010 they have been addressing the growing problem of pornography through the national office of CRU’s Leadership Development & Human Resources Department in partnership with Pure Desire Ministries Int’l.
