Pastor Greg Wigfield

Greg Wigfield is the Lead Pastor of Destiny Church. He and his wife, Pam along with a dozen other people planted Destiny in 1999. From the very beginning, Greg has had a vision of a community church that would reach people who had written off church, or people who knew very little about Jesus Christ and His church. His commitment to the Great Commission has fueled his desire to reach lost people with the gospel of Christ and to teach them how to live life in such a way that they could experience God’s blessings.

Greg received his undergraduate education from Southeastern University and Shenandoah Conservatory. He earned an M.A. in Organizational Leadership and Divinity from Regent University. He has served in several ministries as a youth pastor and assistant pastor. He and Pam have been involved in planting four churches. Greg also served as Chaplain to the Washington Redskins from 1982 until 1988 under the leadership of Coach Joe Gibbs.

Greg’s ministry passion is to be able to help start new churches in order to reach more people for Jesus Christ. His father and grandfather gave over a century of ministry to starting churches and making disciples throughout Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Greg continues to build on that legacy.

Greg’s greatest blessing in life is his family. He and Pam have been married for more than twenty-five years. At present they have four children, Jennifer, Rachel and her husband Bjorn, Ryan and his wife Grace, Robert, and one granddaughter, Junalia.
