Making a Gospel impact in the DMV is a huge task and if we are going to make progress, it’s going to take partnership in many different sectors of the community. As a matter of fact this radio show, Good News For The City is a partnership between WAVA and One Heart DC.

On this episode of Good News For the City we welcome Dr. Gustavo Pacheco, Executive Pastor of Local Outreach at Mclean Bible Church and Pastor at Herndon Bible Church and Claudia Thomas who has worked for one of the school systems in the DMV area for 18 years.

They are going to talk about partnerships between the church and public schools. Particularly Mclean Bible Church and The Public School System.

Dr. Pacheco is the Executive Pastor of Local Outreach at Mclean Bible Church. He is also the Pastor at Herndon Bible Church, a church plant of Mclean Bible Church.

Claudia Thomas

Claudia has worked for one of the school systems in the DMV area for 18 years. She currently works to support families in her community through various partnership opportunities with Mclean Bible Church.

Claudia facilitates parenting classes where she works to empower caregivers to be the first and most influential people in their children’s lives. A motto that Claudia lives by is “All children and youth are capable of success, no exceptions!”
